New Home, New Chapter: Hills Ford Stages Rally 2026
Cheltenham Motor Club is delighted to announce that the Hills Ford Stages Rally will return in September 2026—this time in a brand-new location.
With the continued support of Hills Ford, the event will now take place in the county of Shropshire on 19th and 20th September 2026. This move marks a significant and exciting evolution for the rally, which has long been a highlight of the club’s calendar.
In collaboration with the forward-thinking Shropshire Council, the event will feature a service location and ceremonial start within the Shrewsbury area, bringing motorsport energy right into the heart of the community. Afternoon stages will be held on the Saturday at a historic private estate, once part of the iconic RAC Rally, offering fans a nostalgic yet thrilling experience. Sunday will showcase a selection of road rally classics, winding through the stunning scenery of the Shropshire Hills, delivering a route that blends technical challenge with breathtaking views.
This relocation not only preserves the legacy of the Hills Ford Stages but enhances it—bringing new opportunities for competitors, spectators, and the local economies.

Knocked Back, Not Knocked Out!
We’re gutted not to be running this year’s rally—no one feels that more than the team. But with so much uncertainty, we had to make the tough call. We couldn’t ask competitors, volunteers, or fans to commit financially, especially when there was a real risk of cancellation. For some, choosing our event could have meant missing out on championship points elsewhere. And with some crews travelling from overseas, the stakes—and the costs—were even higher.
We’ve been genuinely humbled by the outpouring of support over these past few months. That only made it more important to protect those who back us—our competitors, marshals, sponsors, and fans—from avoidable losses.
But this isn’t the end. Far from it. Planning for the next Hills Ford Stages has already been underway for some time. We’re in active discussions, exploring new ideas, and shaping an event we know you’ll be excited for.
This is just a pause, not a full stop. Stick with us—big things are on the horizon.

Bosbury Celebrates New Play Area with Rally Team in Attendance
The Hills Ford Stages Rally team joined the celebrations at the opening of a fantastic new play area in Bosbury, hosted by Bosbury and Coddington Group Parish Council.
The ribbon was cut by British mountain biking champion Liam Killeen, with around 150 local residents turning out to enjoy the sunshine, smiles and a fun-filled Easter egg hunt for the children.
“We know we only played a small part in sponsoring the play area,” said Dan, Clerk of the Course. “But it’s great to see something tangible and meaningful come from our support for the parishes that help make the rally happen.”
The play park has already become a well-used and much-loved space, with the Parish Council receiving brilliant feedback from local families.
Other contributors to the project included Platform Housing Group, The Helping Hand Company, The Oak Inn Staplow, Tesco Stronger Starts, The Bell Inn Bosbury, Haygrove, Adhisthana, Sarah Hawkins, Anne & John May, Christine Allen, and the National Lottery Community Fund.

Rallynuts Pledges Support for the 2025 Hills Ford Stages
The Hills Ford Stages is delighted to confirm the continued support of Rallynuts, following a successful partnership in 2024.
Last year, Rallynuts joined as a sponsor for the Service Park in Much Marcle, and we proudly showcased their branding on the Okle Green stage as a token of appreciation for their generous financial support towards our marshals thank-you prizes. Now, Managing Director Paul Bonas has reaffirmed his commitment to the event, recognising the value of both the rally and the wider motorsport community.

Reflecting on last year’s event, Paul added:
“I liked what I saw in how the rally was presenting itself and wanted to test the water for our brand. I had a fantastic time, especially at the Ceremonial Start, where I not only enjoyed displaying my R5 alongside M.A.R Motorsport’s prepared Mini, but also seeing the children waving the cars off—it was something special. The organisers even surprised my wife with a cake for our anniversary, which was a lovely touch!”
Paul remains committed to supporting grassroots motorsport, saying:
“Motorsport is my personal passion, and I believe it’s important to support the sport we love. For companies like Rallynuts, it’s not just about marketing our brand—if we don’t give something back to help events thrive, we won’t have a sport to enjoy.”
Looking ahead to 2025
Excited to build on last year’s success, Paul is eager to expand Rallynuts’ involvement:
“I want to do more this year, and with the financial year-end approaching, we’ll be sitting down as a team to put a great plan together. I’m really looking forward to seeing how we can further support the event and continue our involvement with the rally.”
